I need to replace the keyboard in the MacBook Pro Early 2015. I am unable to find the teardown guide for this procedure. I would like to purchase the replacement keyboard but I need the guide so that I’m able to install it.
We don’t have a full guide going all the way to replacing the keyboard as its not something that a DIY should attempt. Instead we have this guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Upper Case Replacement which get you down to the upper case which you can replace MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Upper Case Assembly for a lot less work and cheaper! If you still want to replace the keyboard alone then you still need to get to this point. You need to first remove the backlight unit which is the thin black sheet covering the keyboard without ripping it. The next steps are quite brutal! As you’ll need to remove the screws and then ==pull the keyboard away from the frame snapping off the plastic rivets. The replacement keyboard should come with the self tapping screws to replace the rivets. You need to use care not damaging the case which is quite easy to do.
