was going to change screen, replacement screen didn’t work so the nice ebay seller sent a new one in replacement, or so i thought , they sent a complete screen in frame instead. Great! new frame also , I just move over the stuff from the original. put everything together but still the screen is dead (but the phone powers on and vibrate). The only difference i see is that the “golden” bits are missing in the new frame. Is that an issue , are they needed? https://ibb.co/cL5qk1Y
The golden “bits”, or contact pads, may be providing power to the backlight. Maybe just get yet another display, and check if the pads are there.
