My Wii U tablet has cracked and isn’t visible on the right 70% of the screen. After reviewing the howto’s on this site, I looked up a replacement part and found this: http://dx.com/p/replacement-lcd-screen-f… I think this will solve my problem! My only question is, will I need to replace some sort of “touch screen overlay” in tandem with it? My controller still works 100% touch wise - even if I can’t see what’s on the bottom, the touch controls work on parts of the screen that are cracked/blank. Any information or help would be most appreciated!
I answered this a little more in depth in another question here but no, you don’t have to replace the digitizer + screen together. You just have to pry tabs around the edges of screen to work the digitizer apart. That is assuming your digitizer is still good and working.
