I am replacing the antenna flex cable for the iphone six. The original part has a paste on one of the contacts. On the replacement part there is a blue plastic strip. Do I need to remove the blue plastic, scrape the paste off the original part and spread it on the replacement? or should I just leave the plastic in place? Unfortunately there aren’t any instructions or guidance that I could find in the guide and I would rather not chance breaking it. Any help would be really appreciated! There is a photo of the part with the blue strip on the store page here. iPhone 6 Logic Board Antenna Flex Cable And this is a photo of the original part with the paste on it from step 39 of the Iphone 6 Antenna Flex Cable Replacement Guide. https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig… The full guide can be found here. iPhone 6 Antenna Flex Cable Replacement Thanks!
Hi Patrick All adhesives that are not in the original part must be removed. No, it is not necessary to scratch anything of the original, if it is what I believe, it is a simple filling. Have a good repair!
