I recently cracked my lg stylo 3 screen yesterday and I want to replace it myself. But I seen videos where they take the digitizer out and buy a new screen with a digitizer. Is that really neccasary? I’m not really good with electronics and I want the easy way out . so please let me know if I need to take my digitazer out or if there is a way I can keep it in while taking my glass screen out. Thank u
It is not necessary to remove the LCD and the Screen, the screen can come off on its own. When repairing it, I have preferred to take both off, just to make the repair a bit easier, but you don’t have to replace both.
I tried to replace just the glass on my lg stylo 3 but it seemed like the whole glass panel was glued to the lcd? And i ended up breaking it. If you’re looking for the easy way, definitely get a replacement that comes with the lcd and glass already together.
Yes you can take just the glass off but buying it with the lcd is easier.
