So I bought a battery from eBay, and the seller said the battery is new, and original.I have few questions:1.“Battery Health” option in the settings works with fake batteries as well?2.MFG on the battery is 02/2019, but 3uTools shows 8/16/2018. Is that a direct indicator for a fake battery, or maybe the software isn’t works properly?3.The QR code on the battery has a really bad quality. Is that normal? On the pictures, on the right side is my original old battery, and on the left side is the new one.

(BTW - it was not fully charged, so the 59% / 63% is now 100% after I charged it.)
danielmichaelw a lot of vendors will sell an unused battery as new. Just because it is unused does not mean if was a recent manufacture. Yours is actually not to bad since it is only off by about 6 month. Yes 3u is probably right with the date but that is not what makes it a fake battery. What makes it fake is the Apple logo printed on the battery wrapper. Only Apple should be using this logo and Apple does not sell you the batteries so, you already know that this is some aftermarket battery. I do not know how much this battery cost you etc. but for now it is what you got. I’d go ahead and use it or cut my losses and get a quality replacement from iFixit. iPhone 6s Battery
Apple dont really sell parts so the only way u would get a genuine is if it’s been pulled out of another phone… theres nothing wrong with a good quality replacement though if u want 100% genuine then u can get it done usually at any apple store. Be wary of Ebay sellers using terms like genuine or original as it could really be “genuinely for the iPhone” or “for the original iPhone” lol
The difference i found in original and fake ones in the apple logo. Sharp edges on original. Color difference of writing and font and spacing between alphabets and the center logo is different totally.
My battery temperature always high when I’m using
