I ordered an iPhone 5s battery and installed it. My iPhone turned on then immediately turned off. I tried charging it and nothing. Do you guys have a way of testing them before you ship them? Am i able to return it for a new one? Thanks, EJ Cross
Hi Elden Cross, batteries are usually shipped drained, but not fully dead, as a safety precaution. In your case, it seems that the battery sent may have been defective. I would recommend that you RMA it, and try with another battery. You could always check to ensure the battery connection is good, (Disconnect the battery, power-drain the phone by holding the Sleep/Wake button for 5 seconds, and then re-connecting it into the socket. You could also try to plug the phone in, and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and Home button for 15 seconds, or until it boots. If you have no luck with that, I would suggest trying it with a new battery. While it was an uncommon issue with the 5s, check by shining a light on the display while powering on to ensure that the backlight sensor did not blow out. (If it did, you would very faintly see the display under the light of the flashlight. Best of luck to you Elden, and I hope this advice helps you to a solution. ~Alec
