Hello everyone ! My iMac was near another flat screen during 6 months and a strange halo is now visible :

I remind me that firstly I saw a purple halo and now it’s a black halo. Do you have an idea to fix it ? Thank you.

Sorry guy no strange magnetic waves between the displays ;-} LCD’s are not effected like older CRT’s displays which use magnetism to bend the electron beam to wipe the surface of the CRT tube to excite a phosphorus coating to create the image. Here’s a full explanation: Cathode-ray tube (CRT) televisions What I think you are seeing is the seal material along the edge is breaking down which is leaching onto the diffuser sheets staining them this is often caused by heat. Or, the LCD had a background image which burned in. Here’s more on that: Image persistence Update (08/17/2017) Sadly, no real way to fix this other than replacing the complete display assembly. Here’s the IFIXIT guide: iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2428 Display Replacement and here’s the needed part: [linked product missing or disabled: IF173-014-1]
