Today, my macbook was working absolutely fine! i put it to sleep, and when again opened my screen it went blank! I connected to an external display, it worked fine, tried to reset SMC, PM !! safe mode boot up! nothing worked. Is it possible that display connected due to 3 years of usage went bad! or is it the display.
Sadly, it does sound like your display died ;-{ The 2016 & 2017 models seem to have issues with the display for a could of different issues. I haven’t seen one go without some clue beforehand. Did you notice any discoloration on the tope or bottom edge? Did you see a pattern of lightness along the bottom (stage light effect)?
