Is there any component which causes the display to cycle every two seconds between just fine and then covered with vertical grey bars, then back? Or is this internal to the display?
If you see a good image on an external display that tells us the issue is within the internal display and will need to be replaced. If the issue is present on the external that aims us to the logic board which has problems with its graphics services. That will either need repair or replacement.
