Hey I replaced the display, but the new display didn’t come with a new fingerprint sensor so I transferred the old one and it doesn’t seem to detect it. Has anyone had success transferring the fingerprint sensor?
Have you found solution after all? I’m getting exact same problem
The fingerprint scanner is part of the home button itself. A lot of people had success replacing this part. I have seen a few iphones (5s) which had screen replaced but the fingerprint scanner was still working.
I have a theory, fingerprint sensor will only work with a genuine display part.
It’s confirmed, I’ve got another display part, this time directly from HTC, transferred old fingerprint scanner, all works fine.
