Yesterday my system started drawing these weird lines on my screen, first they happened once a minute, now every 3 seconds half my screen draws lines looks like half of my ribbon cable was working and it shortcuts every few seconds or so, making more lines then reverting back to normal. Also after this happened and I restarted my system, no output or input devices found, so maybe it has to do with a part that handles audio and display? idk. heres a gif of what happens: https://gfycat.com/hatefulunnaturalhoopo

I would plug in an external monitor to verify the issue is only within the internal display which I strongly suspect. A common issue I’ve seen is people spray cleaner onto they display to then wipe it with a cloth. What happens is the cleaner drips down to the bottom of the screen where the display cable connects to the LCD panel. here’s the connector with its connections exposed!

Here’s a teardown of the older 2012 display assembly MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown Sadly, you’ll need to take off the display assembly to try to clean the connection on the panel and hopefully you don’t need to replace the cable as well. Review this guide to get the assembly off MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Late 2013 Display Assembly Replacement. If the damage is too much the cleaning won’t fix then you’ll need a new display cable or display assembly. In the future spay the cleaner onto the cloth and then wipe the screen.
