Hi all! My MBP’s display occasionally loses display output to internal display. External display output is fine, and the backlight seems to be present. I’m suspecting that the flex display cable is either messed up or losing contact somehow. I’d just order a flex cable and try if that’s it, but the delivery times are horribly long so I’d like to hear your oppinion before commiting to that long waiting time. I’m theoretically knowledgeable in electronics, but have very little practical experience, so sorry if my question is basic or not descriptive enough :) Thanks a lot!
To start with the cable you need to deal with is the ones flexing not the one that is not moving! Now the bad news you would need to replace the display assembly as the cables can’t be replaced on their own.
