Noticed pressing down on part of the keyboard caused the screen to flicker. Few days on now the display wont work full stop. Have disconnected and reconnected the part that controls the display without any luck. Dont know what to do!!! Please help! Hard drive boots and keyboard illuminates, just not the display or the apple logo.
What is this quit and get a new machine stuff? Hook it up to an external monitor and see if it’s generating a video signal. Do some diagnostics! Boys, I’d be out of business fast with your attitudes. Lizz - just where on the keyboard were you pressing and why were you pressing to get the screen to flicker? Have you spilled anything on it? What is the repair history? Has it been dropped? Do you have an external USB start up disk? Did you do any system updates just before this occurred?
It sounds like your display ribbon could be damaged or you have a lose connection between the ribbon candle and the connecter try cleaning the connecter to see if that helps.
