I have access to a Macbook Pro display assembly that has liquid damage that unfortunately does not power on but the glass itself does not appear to be damage at all. I also have access to a Macbook Pro display assembly that has cracked glass close to the hinge of the laptop. Is it possible to somehow take the none broken piece of glass and swap it over to the other display assembly that is still functioning? Or is there some better way to repair this piece of cracked glass? I have included below a picture of the display assembly with the cracked glass:

Assuming the displays LCD its self is not damaged, you can replace the chin plate on its own! As for salvaging the plate from the water damaged unit you will need to be careful! As it won’t take much to break! Using a heat gun carefully work at one end and using some thin stiff sheets of plastic or metal (thinner than a credit card) slide it under and then do the other side being very careful not to lift more than a few mm to slide the plastic/metal sheet in. Once the two ends are done heat the middle and instead of lifting I twist like setting a old fashioned clock hands to the correct time. When the adhesion is lost then I lift.
