i bought a new drive for my ps4 and ensured that it would work with the board on my current drive after replacing it the drive wont accept discs or even read ones already inserted. the original issue was the motor wasnt working. the board that arrived on the new drive was a bdp25 and mine was a bdp20. teh motors also look like a different number if tat means anything.

Hi! You swapped the PCB for your original one, right? You need the PCB which is linked to your motherboard, otherwise it won’t read games. And as long as the drives are the same types it should be okay. Example: BD490 replace for BD490. Or BD860 should be replaced for exactly BD860.
