My iPod touch 4th Gen digitizer stopped responding to touch completely. I replaced the screen, with a known working screen, and the issue persisted. No big deal, maybe the replacement screen has a faulty digitizer. I then proceeded to try 4 more screens. All resulted in the same… a working LCD and unresponsive touch screen. I’ve tried a hard reset, I’ve restored through iTunes, and I’ve also reset the device with the battery short to the home chassis trick. Nothing gets it to respond. Does anyone know why this is? I’m beginning to think that my iPod is toast. and it’s a motherboard/resistor issue.
This is probably an issue with the digitizer connector on the logic board.
