Chosen Solution
I just moved into a new home with an already established network. My computer is showing many other networks but not ours. My phone, ad well as my roommates’ Apple computers are able to connect but I was told that the network has never been discoverable on an hp laptop. I have tried a network reset, connecting/disconnect the WiFi many times, and resetting the router with no luck.
Enter SSID (network name) by hand to connect it.
Try power cycling the modem one more time and see if that works. Unplug the modem and count to 30Reconnect the modem to power and see if you are able to connect to the network.
