The color of the LCD connector on the Macbook air is normally gold, but it is silver. Please tell me the year in which this connector is used.
OK so you bought a pile of parts from someone and are now trying to sort them out is that what we are dealing with here? The gold connector cables are the newer ones but just by looking at a connector does not define the part to fit X, Y or Z system. This gets into the length the number of pins and the alterations within the cable. As an example the cabled used in a iMac are just bare whereas the MacBook, Air & Pro models have the cable fitted into a hollow hinge to pass through to the display.
