Hi, i bought an Iphone 5s a few days ago. Checking the battery with Ibackupbot is saw that the fully charged capacity is only 1502-1512 mah (cycle count 1). When watching the photos of the Ifixit battery replacement procedure, i recognized that there are different capacites used in the Iphone 5s. Examples: step13 - 1510mah /// step21 - 1560mah. Even the picture of the battery Ifixit sells, shows only 1510mah (APN 616-0730) what is that about? Does Apple use different batteries? Thx for your answers in advance. Kind regards
Hi Apple stays consistent with the batteries in all their devices. Meaning the 5S has a 1560mAh battery while the 5C has a 1510mAh battery and so on. In the 5S battery guide you were referring to, more than likely the author of the guide either mistakenly slipped in a picture of the 5C battery or just purposely did that to save time. Either way, its the same concept for replacing the battery since the 5S and 5C are almost identical internally. But hey at least you’re paying attention to little details like that :) Best of luck
