A glass of water accidentally fell all over my MacBook yesterday. I took it apart and used a drying spray to dry the motherboard. It rebooted and the software is running, just now really slow. Not just browsing the internet but opening different software all of it is slow. I deleted cache files from my browser but that isn’t helping. Is this permanent damage?
Sadly you have deeper problems in your system! Sprays won’t clear the water out and depending what you used it too could cause problems! Your systems SMC logic thinks your system has an issue so it puts the CPU into Safe Mode so you don’t damage it. Basically dropping the CPU’s clocking down to about a quarter of its clock rate. Time to get your system to someone who can tryout your system properly. For now disconnect the battery and keep the system cool to slow the corrosion.
