Just replaced a faulty fan of a MBP 13 inch late 2013 (free gift, just needed the fan replaced). After Installing I went testing the fan and did not seem to get it on a fixed RPM. I ran a diagnostics and it gave me back the PPF003 error. After further inspecting I might have damaged the cable? Is it the cable? Can it be something else? The weird thing now is that Mac Fan Control says that the fan is spinning, but in reality it’s not doing anything.

@jhingha replace the fan connector. What you get is improper contacts between the fan and the connector. The most likely cause for Mac Fan Control reporting the fan as moving, is an error in the tachometer circuitry on the connector. Replace the connector then re-evaluate.

going from this thread before i found it does look similar to this other person damaged port. Im almost positive that error code is hardware related. Apple Hardware Test - Error Code PPF003

Your pictures show what looks like corrosion or something leaked onto the connectors circuit board. You’ll need to try another fan unit if this is used. You also talk about a 1000 reboots - Are you speaking about the battery? Or are you just exaggerating ;-} I doubt you counted them off. How about getting a better program as I find this one is just better TG Pro. The full version offers deeper diagnostics.
