After installing a new LCD screen on my iPhone 6s Plus and powering it on to test before closing it, I got the lines on the LCD. So I powered the phone off, disconnected the battery, disconnected the display, in order to reconnect it and see if that fixed the lines. The problem is I forgot I was using tweezers with metal tips (I know I know idiot move) and there was a small spark in the battery connector. After this the screen would not power on. My questions is.. Did I only fry my screen or could the spark have fried other parts of the phone like the motherboard or maybe the battery now is useless? I want to make sure before I bye a new LCD panel and battery. If only the LCD is damaged I don’t have to buy the battery. If both the LCD and battery are damaged then I’ll buy both. If the phone is toast then I’ll recycle it. Thanks!

It is possible you damaged something at the board level but that spark should’ve been a straight shot to ground. Without another device to test the components on you can’t tell for sure. Maybe take it to a independent repair shop and have them test it with a new screen and battery.
