I have recently replaced the battery in my iPhone 6s because the last one could not hold a charge and the phone would heat up like it was constantly on or not sleeping properly. I got given this phone because it was a total mess. the guy who had it before me said he dropped it and the entire screen just randomly popped off. I had to put screws back everywhere that were missing then replaced the screen and battery. Because the last screen had fully separated from the device all the front camera and earpiece ribbons had snapped, I put in an iPhone 6 earpiece instead. It seems to work fine. But now for the new battery, it reads 100% capacity but is still causing the same issues. It wont hold a chargeThe phone will randomly turn off like it’s not getting enough power or a bad connection. (I have triple checked the battery connection. all seems fine.)The phone likes to heat up still.Last thing I thought I would add. I noticed when I got it that a lot of the rubber surrounding connections look like its been melted.
Im not sure if a photo uploaded but if it has you can see I circled where there are screws missing? Maybe this could have something to do with it.
For number 2 does the WiFi, Rear and Front camera work fine? If one of those don’t work they can cause the phone to heat up a lot in specific areas like the top of the screen and right under the rear camera behind the phone. For number 4, do you see any kind of blackened burn marks near the screen connectors or white, green powderish residue which would indicate liquid damage inside the phone?
