My dewalt saw motor had excessive brush arcing, I checked commutator for carbon buildup between segments and checked for shorts. After reassembling I used a brush seating commutator stone. After using the brush seating stone the motor won’t run??
It may start if the shaft is turned to a certain position, but then not run will. The seating operation might have left something shorting the commutator.
