Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge which I bought used and abused as defective. There was physical damage all over it so i tried to swap the motherboard to another phone. The phone boots nicely but a short period after logging in it restarts and so on… Did a factory reset and cleared cache - no change. It looks as something is overheating - are those metal shields used as heatsinks too? Any Ideas?
This is really strange and the forum is old. But I was having this issue for a really long time when I quite literally just discovered that the device would work without the midframe screwed in. If this is the case, try removing the screw that sits right between the middle of the volume buttons, next to the nfc antenna. (2nd screw from the top on the right hand side, looking at the back of device) Like I said, this is really strange, and if someone can come up with a reason as to why, it would be interesting to know.
