I’ve let my switch run out of power, my clumsyass forgot to put it on charge overnight. I’ve hooked it to charge, however after 8 hours (or even more) of charging it still doesn’t turn on. Not even the backlight appears. Holding and/or tapping the PowerButton didn’t do stuff. What I did keep in mind is that I had an error message appear like 5 days ago while playing AnimalCrossing, the system restarted after that but that’s all. It still worked until i’ve let it run out of juice. I had to repair it once because the left rail didn’t detect my joycon, but as much as i can recall nothing happened to the console before, during or after the repair. I’ve unplugged battery while repairing and only used plastic tweezers. What could be the issue?
Okay I don’t know if i can really call this a fix, but unplugging the battery and letting the motherboard run out of energy did something. However I’ve read on similar threads that this is only a temporary fix and the problem might occur again, so I’ll leave this unsolved just in case.
