Hi, my mom had a Galaxy S3 mini on verizon for about a year and a half then it started rebooting and freezing at the verizon screen at complete random. At first it was every once in a while but it progressively got worse over time. She has sense changed to a Galaxy S4 on verizon and i am attempting to troubleshoot what is wrong with the S3 mini. I have already tried a factory reset on the device and even that gave me trouble as when i pressed factory reset it sat on rebooting for quite a while. eventually it did reset but it did not Fix the issue.
Try to upgrade firmware first. If the device reboot continuously might be the fault of power switch check it. If all doing that the fault is same that the fault of EMMC chip,Most of the Samsung i saw that have emmc chip faults.
Download ODIN Samsung flashing software. Make sure you also download the correct ROM for your phone. Then connect phone to pc with software on and flash it this will fix all software related problems. If it doesn’t you will have a hardware fault.
