My friend has a MacBook, he lost the charger, his battery died. the MacBook was without use for about 6-8 months and it wont charge at all, it can turn on but the battery is dead!
The MacBook has 6 lithium polymer cells inside the battery. if the li-po cell discharges under a certaun amount - it simply dies. surely there are ways to get some of the cells working again, but thats pretty dangerous. you would need a balancer for that (it’s a charger for R/C li-po batteries) - that charger could be connected to the battery and after you programmed it, you could start charging (sometimes you have to charge them for 3-5 minutes with a “wrong” program - like li-fe (lithium-ferro) first - to get any life in them) this must be done very carefully, there should be nothing around that could burn - those cells can explode!
