My trackpad seems to have a dead spot. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I am unsure if its the flex cable that is attached to the trackpad or the trackpad unit as a whole…? Started having the problems yesterday. I realized that only the right 3/4 of the trackpad did not function. after a restart, I now only have a dead spot however often goes in and out. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced!
Sorry to say you’ll need to get a new trackpad. What often happens is a liquid spill or even cleaner seeps into the sandwich damaging the trackpad.
