Chosen Solution
Hey just a bit confused as to why one of my iPhones wont turn on. I’ve got an iPhone that wont turn and another one that works perfectly fine, i switched over the bad screen to the good one and it was working, then next i tried the dead battery in the new phone, nothing. So then i put the good battery and and good screen on the bad phone, as i was starting to put the screen on after the battery it started getting really hot and still wouldnt turn on. where should i look next or is it gone? cheers
If it gets really hot then it sounds like a short circuit on the board. I had one come in yesterday that was red hot, one of the sim contact pins had snapped off and was laying under the board creating a short, the phone wouldn’t come on but after retreving the bits from under the logic board it worked, though the sim reader was goosed.
