Hi everyone! So I am currently trying to fix a 6s that died spontaneously , it just turned off instantly . I have opened it up and checked that the battery was not dead, as well as the port connector. I connected it to iTunes and getting this message: “iTunes could not connect to the iPhone “my iphone’s name” because it is locked with passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes” The thing is I am not getting any vibrations or display out of the phone whatsoever. I managed to put it on DFU mode and managed to update it via iTunes. It was successful but still have nothing. After that I tried restoring, and this time it fails and shows this message: “The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4016)” Any Ideas on what to try next? This was the best shot i could make. As you can see, some of the pins on the far right are burnt. I guess I have to change the connector

Try the restore again but using 3utools instead of iTunes instead. For the no display issue, try shining a flashlight on the screen after unplugging then plugging the battery them turning it on. If you see a dim apple logo then the phone has a no backlight issue. You will have to take your phone to a reputable shop that does microsoldering for iPhones to get it fixed. Usually the ones that offer a no fix no fee model.
