Hi, my phone fell at a pointy edge on the home button which cause the fingerprint sensor to stop working. After i watched the dissasembly of the galaxy s7 edge i got worried about how the phone would look after taking the screen out and putting it back, i mean can the glow make the screen look exactly like it was never opened ? I know it’s weird but one would think and edge like that is not easy to take out and put back and still look like new Sorry for my english, thank u very much
Sadly with these phones something as SIMPLE as a homekey almost requires breaking the LCD. At my work where I repair these the LCD and frame and charge port all come as one piece from the manufacturer and they are very expensive. If a fingerprint sensor isn’t of the utmost importance to you then I would leave it be because you’re looking at a couple hundred dollars for a $20 part. If it’s something you really really want or need then I’d take it somewhere and have a company be responsible if they break the LCD rather than yourself.
