One of my family members spilled water on their 2013 MBA. I have the stick and actually got an enclosure for it but the wrong year! I have an 2015 11” MBA that takes the same SSD as this. If I open that up and put this SSD in, will that machine boot up? Would it be a risk to attempt this?
Well, I mean if there is no obvious corrosion or damage on the SSD I personally wouldn’t see a problem with trying that. If was in the same situation personally, I personally would just ask the place that you bought the wrong enclosure from for an exchange. It’s the safest way to go if the SSD looks damaged in any way shape or form.
