In my new Moto G5Plus, I mistakenly put my SIM Tool in the hole for the microphone on the rear of the phone instead of the hole for the SIM/Storage tray. Do you believe I have damaged the microphone ? How can I test it?
To test, go to your camera and record a video with you talking or some sounds or something. Then play it back. If it sounds strange and distorted, its probably damaged. If it sounds fine, its fine.
Try taking a video and see if the sound is distorted or even there. Another thing you could try is calling someone and asking if they can hear you fine and if they notice anything weird. If everything checks out alright then I wouldn’t worry about it.
