how could I troubleshoot for damaged digitizer vs. damaged lcd?
Hi, What is the model number of the tablet? A damaged digitizer means that the images on the screen are OK but you cannot navigate because the digitizer is the screen that knows when you tap or touch the screen to perform an action. If you had an OTG adapter cable -example only you could possibly connect a USB mouse to the adapter and then to the tablet and use it to navigate through the tablet if the digitizer wasn’t working, until you replaced the digitizer screen. Not quite sure as you haven’t stated the model, whether OTG is available on all RCA tablets or not or even if it is automatic or has to set up in Settings first. If the LCD screen was damaged you would have distorted images, incorrect colours, lines etc but could still possibly navigate if the screen had some images that you could recognize.
