We have a Dacor ERD48 dual fuel range. When in back mode, the oven seems to come up to temperature (or past). The bottom electrical element glows red so I think it is working correctly. However, after reaching temperature, the element turns off and the temperature drops about 50 degrees (as measure by Fluke meter) before the element gets hot again. Most of the time, the oven is well below the set temperature even though the oven thinks it is at the correct temperature.

Hi @wor , The temperature sensor may have to be re-calibrated or perhaps it is faulty. I found this (see image) regarding calibration but the link times out and even when going to the Dacor ranges webpage, I cannot get any further. Perhaps you may have better luck accessing the link

(click on image to enlarge for better viewing) If the calibration doesn’t work here’s a link to the service manual for the range. Scroll to page 9-25 to view the procedure on how to remove / replace the temperature sensor. A lot of the suppliers that I checked show that the part is unavailable or has to be ordered in. However, according to this supplier, the manufacturer’s part number for the sensor is 62593 so if you search online using this number only in the search term of your browser you will get results for suppliers that have stock.
