So of course my Vizio TV is out of warranty. Recently I have an issue where the logo will display but after 10 seconds it powers off. Being out of warranty I replaced the main board myself to no avail. Before I waste more money solving this problem does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this problem? All the boards look good, I don’t see any signs of blown capacitors, I’m just wondering what my next step should be, replace power board or replace t-con board. Vizio tells me it can’t be a firmware issue nor will they release the firmware to me. Any ideas?
If you change the logicboard , then check if there is any other board inside, then check for the backlight if it works.
Regutted entire TV, nothing solved the problem….i’m believing it’s a firmware issue yet no one will release the firmware to me….anyone happen to know where I could get it?
You have a bad EEPROM in the main board, its what sends the start boot to the CPU, its a common failure, and a $10 part but a little tricky to replace unless you are real good at soldering, its only a 8 pin chip but very small, a replacement main board will also fix the issue but that board isn’t cheap
