I dropped Nikon D3100. No damage visible on the body or lens. Images are 80% black. I can see images in playback LCD screen. I’ve determined the lens is not the problem. A little research indicates it maybe a CCD sensor. Is it repairable?
Hi, Here are the ifixit Nikon D3100 Repair guides. Hopefully the motherboard repair guide will get you far enough into the camera to check that the CCD sensor connection is OK or to replace the CCD sensor- example only if necessary.
