The Demag crane at one of my clients workshop was working just fine, but recently it had this fault, whereby it fails to lift loads weighing above 1.8 tons off the floor. Crane’s max load weight is 10 tons
Check the power feed if it’s properly powered. If that’s OK, your motor windings maybe damaged.
