I crakced my macbook pro’s bottom bezel, first day display was fine.. now a black strip appear..when tap on that cracked portion. That area color is reverting the color of actual screen.. So costly to replace entire screen.. please help..
Update (01/12/2019) Is it possible to change chin plate? When clicking there color is inverting with black color when tap on that cracked portion. That area color is reverting the color of actual screen.

Your LCD panel is also damaged! You can’t do anything to fix it other than replace it. Unlike the older models this series as the T-CON board mounted in the main case so more lines are needed to move data from the case to the lid as you can see here:

There are ribbon cables connected to the screen that hide behind that small chin bezel. When you smashed the bezel in you must have hit one of those cables…
