Hi guys Sorry for my poor English :) I have the following Mac Pro system: Model Identifier: MacPro5,1Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel XeonProcessor Speed: 2.4 GHzNumber Of Processors: 2Total Number Of Cores: 8L2 Cache (per core): 256 KBL3 Cache (per processor): 12 MBMemory: 18 GB I would like to upgrade from a 2.4 to 3.2 I changed the CPU and I put the 3.2 and it worked but after 5 seconds then it freezes. Is there any firmware for the logic board or am I doing something wrong? Because its boots but then when window come up the mouse stops working and everything freezes.
What was the source of your 3.4 CPU? New or used? Did it come out of a Mac? What was the cost and where do you live?
