I wanted to know if there was 1 or 2 slots for a 2.5” drive
Depending on your model it may have either an M.2 or a regular SATA drive. Here’s the link to Service Manual. This shows you how to remove the optical drive. HP Pavilion 15-ay041wm Optical Disc Drive Replacement You will have to search the Web for the caddy. Make sure you get the right width to fit.
