The ps5 (digital) initially started having the corrupted data error after being unused for about 2 months. I turned it back on to play elden ring when it released but as soon as i launched into the game it said the data was corrupted. I deleted and reinstalled the game, purchased an m.2 expansion and then reinstalled the game there but kept getting the same error. I reset the ps5 to factory which worked initially but then the ps5 started going into constant crash loops. I did use option 7 but that only worked for a day, now it default opens into safe mode with only option 7 available. Attempted to run the update but it just says data corrupted and reboots into safe mode. It seems like a faulty ssd on the mobo itself but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and was able to resolve it.
hi have you considered it wight be a bug from within the game?maybe try other games and see if to does the same thing it just seems soo strange to see a new console acting like this as you said it could be a faulty SSD ,in that case DONT open it up because the ssd is soldered to the main motherboard so your best bet would be to get in touch with Sony customer support if its still in warranty and see about having it sorted with a warranty intact sorry I couldn’t provide a proper fix for the issue, but I defiantly think contacting customer support is your best bet thanks:-)
