Chosen Solution

Hi I recently purchased a keyboard from you for my 2015-15” mbp. Do you have a good set of tools for this job? Thanks

Replacing the keyboard is a big job! Review this guide as you’ll first need to get to this point MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Upper Case Assembly Replacement. As far as tools to get to this point you’ll need: T5 Torx ScrewdriverTR8 Torx Security ScrewdriverP5 Pentalobe Screwdriver Retina MacBook Pro and AirPlastic CardsSpudgerAs well as the needed solvent to remove the battery and the keyboard backlight Then from here you’ll need to carefully take the keyboard backlight assembly off (glued down) to then expose the keyboard under it

At this point you’ll need to remove the screws & rivets which holds the metal plate to the uppercase. The replacement keyboard should have screws with it if not you’ll need to get the needed screws which you’ll use in place of the plastic rivets. As alternate solution you may want to just get the full upper case assembly with or without the battery. Its a lot less work! I recommend doing this if you’ve never replaced a keyboard before.
