I attempted to install SSD in my 2007 iMac. I purchased an inexpensive bracket from an online auction site. I found out the side screw holes are too small — the four screws from the iMac mounting bracket won’t fit. Can someone recommend the correct brand and model that would work for 2007 iMac?
This is what I use OWC 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Adapter Bracket
Thanks for the suggestion. A physical visit to the store located a bracket with the correct size screw holes. I discovered another necessary item for installing SSD into a 2007 iMac is SATA extension cables (data + power). The existing cable is positioned for the original 3.5” HD with zero slack; needed to extend the cable by about 2 inches to reach the new 2.5” disk.
