So I was playing and I forgot I was still holding my controller and went to p1ss so that yanked off the cord from the circuit board. Years later I tried to reconnect it using a cord that I found, (not for controllers but had 4 smaller wires) and soldered it to the circuit board. Doesn’t work. What do?
Hi @densetsu OK well looking at the pictures we may be able to work something out. On the image below I’ve drawn two arrows which I believe are connected together by the track between them. If this is correct follow that track back to the cable connectors to find out which terminal it connects to. I’m guessing that it will be one of the outside ones of the four. (looking at them in the picture from Left to Right number them 1 2 3 4 ). So it will either be 1 or 4. If this is correct then connect the RED wire to either 1 or 4 depending where the track goes. Then connect the BLACK wire to either 1 or 4 depending on where the red wire is. (So it is either red on 1 and black on 4 OR red on 4 and black on 1) The GREEN and WHITE wires will connect to 2 and 3. If it doesn’t work, reverse the green and white wires, i.e. if green was on 2 then put it on 3 and take the white wire off 3 and put it on 2. Hopefully this makes sense and also that you haven’t already damaged any components by placing the power leads on the wrong terminals.
