Chosen Solution

hello. I want to get an Asus Zenbook Duo UX481 because it has proper arrow keys and a good battery life, however the lack of touch in the primary monitor is beyond stupid and it is a bit of false advertising judging by the product pictures. Thus I want to grab one off ebay and solve the problem by replacing the panel. Any tips on how to perform this idea?

Hi @mzlink , I don’t know but looking at the parts for a Asus UX481FL (and also UX481FA) it shows that there is a touch board (part # 90NB0P60-R10020) presumably to interface the touchscreen with the motherboard. The part number for a UX481FL-1A 12.61 FHD LCD WITH TOUCHPANEL, TOP CASE AND TOUCHPAD is 90NB0P61-R20010 (this is the same number for both models) There is no mention of a separate touch screen cable to connect the board to the display so I don’t know how that is achieved. Hopefully this may give you some ideas.
