Chosen Solution
Hello all. My PS4 controller seems to not register at all on my PS4, no light on the light bar to indicate charging and nothing happens when pressing the PS button. However, when I connect it to my PC and do the test it connects and all buttons register when pressed. Also connect using the DS4 Windows app. Blue light shows and even changes colour when I change it. Also works perfectly fine as a controller on games. Any suggestions?
I’m having the same problem, did you find the solution?
What happens when you try holding the share button for 10 seconds with the PS4 controller connected to the console? Does it do a slow flashing light? If it does it indicates the controller can go in SOS mode. In this case the ribbon cable / charging port board is suspected to have gone faulty. I’d replace the white ribbon cable first and see how that goes.
