Hi all, My MacBook is displaying nothing but a white screen. I somehow was able to login to the computer. I know this because I was able to play music using the multimedia keys. I’ve tried resetting nvram, smc, command + r and followed all other guides which tackle the white screen problem. But none of the guides have helped me fix my issue. I can see black smudges on my screen sometimes. I booted with command + r, and I could see a greyish window (looked like a rectangular black smudge). I’m guessing that was the window which shows recovery options (reinstall etc). So I can confirm that my hard disk is booting up fine. What might be the problem?
Hi Teja, Do you have an external display you could try to test with? I would hook your MBP up to an external display and boot it up, if you see your computer working normally then you may have a bad display. If you get the same results on the external display then it could be your graphics card, which is unfortunately soldered to your logic board.
